Our Strategic Objectives
1. To provide access to information for women on social services, government programs, local government decision-making processes, and accountability mechanisms, so that they can participate competently and consistently.
2. To equip women from diverse backgrounds and different skills levels with tailored digital skills to effectively participate in decision making process in local governance, demanding for accountability, and using E-government services.
3. To provide dedicated digital platforms where women freely express themselves about local governance, give feedback, and demand for accountability from their leaders.
4. To contribute to bridging the gender gaps in digital divides, and public participation through digital literacy, media and information literacy, and capacity building programs that position women as champions of social change in decision making processes, and lead participants in governance and accountability.
5. To research on women’s participation in digital development in relation to decision making processes, government programs, using electronic government services, and demanding for accountability. The research is purposed to influence policy, and inform strategic program design and implementation.
6. To address technology facilitated gendered disinformation against female politicians and women in general, posing obstacles to women’s full and effective participation in governance, and in demanding for accountability.
7. To train local government officials on gender-responsiveness, which should result into designing gender-inclusive programs and policies, and equitable social service delivery.
8. To raise awareness on, and demonstrate the different ways in which women can effectively participate in decision making processes, and demand for accountability outside of formal political institutions.
